キブシ
裏道でキブシが実をつけていました。林縁などに生えるキブシ科の落葉低木です。和名は五倍子(ふし)と呼ばれるヌルデの虫こぶの代わりに、この果実が黒い染料の原料として用いられたことに由来します。

"Kibushi" trees are bearing fruit along the back road. They are deciduous shrubs in the Stachyuraceae family that naturally grow along forest edges. The Japanese name “Kibushi” comes from the fact that their fruit was once used as a substitute for the galls of the Chinese sumac tree known in Japanese as "Fushi (五倍子)”, which were traditionally used to produce black dye.
