裏道でトウネズミモチが咲いています。モチノキ科の常緑小高木です。中国原産で、公園などに植栽されたものが逸出し、林内でも普通に見られます。在来種のネズミモチに比べ、花期が少し遅く、また葉が薄く葉脈が目立つという特徴があります。

"Tou-Nezumimochi" trees are in bloom along the back road. They are evergreen small trees in the Aquifoliaceae family. This species is a naturalized plant originally from China. The trees that were once cultivated in parks have escaped into the wild and are now commonly found in woodlands. Compared with the native  "Nezumimochi", they flower slightly later and have narrower leaves.
