シロツメクサ
マリアガーデンでシロツメクサが咲いています。空き地などでよく見られるマメ科の多年草です。和名にあるツメクサ（詰め草）は、江戸時代にオランダからガラス製品を持ち込む際に、本種が緩衝材として詰められたことに由来します。
"Shiro-Tsumekusa" plants are in bloom in the Marian Garden. They are perennial plants in the Legume family that commonly grow in vacant lots and other open areas. The Japanese name "Tsumekusa" comes from the fact that these plants were used as packing material to cushion glassware imported from the Netherlands during the Edo period.
