コハコベ
コハコベが咲いています。春の七草の一つで食用になります。また、ひよこなどの小鳥の餌として使われたことからひよこ草とも呼ばれています。花びらは5枚ですが、1枚の花びらが根元から深く2つに裂けているため、10枚あるように見えます。
"Ko-Hakobe (コハコベ)" plants are in bloom. They are one of the Seven Japanese Spring Herbs and edible. They are also called "Hiyoko-Gusa," which means chickweed, because they are often feeded to little birds such as chicks. There are five petals, but each petal is split into two from its bottom, so the plants look as if they had ten petals.
