 下の写真は11月28日に撮影したものですが、時間をかけて調べた結果、シロマキバイエバエであることがわかりました。日本のイエバエ研究の権威で医学博士の篠永哲先生は、その著書『日本のイエバエ科』（東海大学出版会）の中で「In Honshu, I collected only in Imperial Palace grounds in Tokyo.」とお書きになっています。博士が皇居でしか見ていないハエが不二聖心で見つかったということです。

ボストンの姉妹校からの便りの４回目です。作成したのは小学校５年生です。

 This is a bird’s nest that a bird made. We found it in a bush near some flowers. It’s important because if this bird didn’t have this nest, the baby birds would die. I think that this picture is very pretty because everything is beautiful. 

 This is a coniferous tree which means it does not have leaves and it doesn’t die during the winter. I found this tree on the Upper Field where we play sports. It is important because it won’t die during the winter so it will last longer and it is very interesting.
